PCAOB publiceert handreiking voor accountants over crisis

De Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB) heeft een Audit Practice Alert uitgebracht met aandachtspunten voor controlerend accountants in verband met de financiële crisis.
In Staff Audit Practice Alert No. 3, Audit Considerations in the Current Economic Environment komen de volgende onderwerpen aan de orde:
- Overall audit considerations
- Auditing fair value measurements
- Auditing accounting estimates
- Auditing the adequacy of disclosures
- Auditor's consideration of a company's ability to continue as a going concern
- Additional audit considerations for selected reporting areas
In december 2007 bracht de PCAOB al een Audit Practice Alert uit over aandachtspunten bij fair value-waardering.
