Hans Hoogervorst herbenoemd als IASB-voorzitter
Hans Hoogervorst is herbenoemd als voorzitter van de International Accounting Standard Board (IASB). Zijn tweede vijfjaarstermijn als voorzitter van de standard setter begint op 1 juli.
Dat hebben de Trustees of the IFRS Foundation, verantwoordelijk voor de governance van en toezicht op de IASB, vandaag bekendgemaakt. Vice-voorzitter Ian Mackintosh heeft besloten niet voor een tweede termijn te gaan en treedt op 30 juni af.
“The IFRS Foundation is currently undertaking a review of its structure and effectiveness, while the Board is reviewing its Agenda for the next five years. These reviews are exploring possible changes to the composition and the size of the Board and its work in the coming years. In that context, Mr Mackintosh has proposed that he retire from the Board in 2016. The Trustees intend to discuss the review of structure and effectiveness in the coming months”, aldus het persbericht van de IFRS Foundation.
Hans Hoogervorst (1956) is voorzitter van de IASB sinds 1 juli 2011. Daarvoor was hij in Nederland onder andere minister van Financiën, minister van Volksgezondheid, Welzijn en Sport en bestuursvoorzitter van de Autoriteit Financiële Markten (AFM).
